Whereas a complaint hath been laid before the undersigned, one of Her majesty's Justices of the peace within and for the Southern Bailiwick of the said Colony, for that you, on the 17 day of Dec 1875 China Town Creswick in the said colony in a public place did use insulting words to lizzie Wingfield with intent to provoke a breach of the peace. These are therefore to command you, in Her majesty's name, to be and appear on the 21 day of Dec 1875 at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at Police court, Creswick in the said Colony, before such Justices of the peace for the said Bailiwick as may then be there, to answer to the said complaint and to be further dealt with according to law. Given under my hand and seal this 18 day of Dec at Creswick 1875, at Creswick in the Colony aforesaid. M.B.Lees.
